It was really tough to choose just a few science fiction and fantasy books for 2023, and even this selection seems excessive. But how could I not mention comedy about alien abduction road trips, nostalgic time travel, mysterious hidden societies, and unexpected standalones by some of my most favourite writers? This is the impressive start to a sizable TBR pile for 2023, whether you’re wanting to dive into a novella or collection, start a new series, or read a single book. Here are 8 sci-fi and fantasy books to look forward to in 2023.
